Logistics Coordinator

Logistics coordinators manage the day-to-day movement of goods through a supply chain, acting as the central point of contact between drivers, warehouses, and customers. Key Duties

Coordinating collections and deliveries across the network, communicating with drivers throughout the day
Booking hauliers, couriers, and third-party carriers to meet customer requirements
Tracking consignments and proactively updating customers on delivery status
Resolving delivery exceptions, shorts, and damages quickly and professionally
Raising purchase orders and processing invoices for transport costs
Maintaining accurate records within the warehouse management and TMS systems
Supporting the transport manager with performance reporting and continuous improvement

Typical Qualifications & Requirements

Previous logistics, freight, or supply chain coordination experience
Strong IT skills — Excel, email, and ideally TMS or WMS experience
Ability to work calmly under pressure and manage competing priorities
Good telephone manner and customer-facing communication skills
A-levels or equivalent; degree in logistics or supply chain is advantageous
