Key Duties

Operating 8-wheel rigid or artic tipper vehicles on construction and quarry sites
Loading and tipping safely on uneven ground and tight site conditions
Completing site induction and adhering to site-specific health and safety rules
Pre-use checks on the tipper body, sheeting mechanisms, and hydraulic system
Weighbridge compliance — ensuring loads do not exceed legal gross weight limits
Completing waste transfer notes for licensed waste loads
Working closely with site managers, foremen, and banksmen to manage movements safely

Typical Qualifications & Requirements

Category C or C+E driving licence depending on vehicle configuration
Valid CPC Driver Qualification Card
Digital tachograph card
Previous tipper driving experience on construction or quarry sites
Waste Carrier Licence awareness and waste transfer note familiarity desirable
