Key Duties

Carrying out pre-departure vehicle safety checks and completing the daily walk-around inspection report
Operating within legal driving hours and managing tachograph records accurately
Loading and securing cargo in compliance with load restraint guidelines
Navigating planned routes efficiently, adapting to traffic and road conditions
Delivering to customer sites, depots, and RDCs while maintaining a professional manner
Completing proof of delivery documentation and reporting any discrepancies
Maintaining the vehicle in good condition and reporting defects promptly to the transport office

Typical Qualifications & Requirements

Valid Category C or C+E driving licence depending on vehicle type
Driver CPC qualification card (DCPC)
Digital tachograph card
Clean or near-clean licence (no DR, DD, or TT offences)
Previous HGV driving experience preferred
