Counterbalance Forklift Driver

Counterbalance forklift drivers are among the most in-demand warehouse operatives in the UK, moving pallets, racking stock, and loading vehicles across all types of distribution and manufacturing sites. Prism 7 Resourcing places counterbalance FLT operators on both contract and permanent basis with clients throughout Essex, London, and Kent.

Key Duties

Operating a counterbalance forklift truck to move and stack palletised goods
Loading and unloading HGVs and containers at dock levellers and in open yard
Putting away inbound stock into racking bays using pallet locations
Replenishing pick face lines and marshalling outbound orders for dispatch
Daily pre-use checks of the forklift including forks, tyres, mast, and battery or LPG level
Assisting with year-end and cycle count stocktaking
Following site pedestrian and traffic management rules at all times

Typical Qualifications & Requirements

Valid counterbalance FLT licence (RTITB or ITSSAR accredited preferred)
Demonstrable experience operating a counterbalance in a live warehouse environment
Reach truck or bendi licence advantageous
Comfortable with early, late, or night shift working
Good safety awareness and a tidy working style
