- Processing customer transactions at the till point including cash, card, contactless, and vouchers
- Balancing the till at the start and end of shift and reporting any discrepancies
- Handling refunds and exchanges accurately in accordance with company policy
- Greeting each customer warmly and maintaining a friendly, efficient service manner
- Operating self-scan or assisted checkout systems as required
- Following age verification procedures for age-restricted products (Challenge 25)
- Reporting till faults, security concerns, or unusual transactions to the supervisor
