- Screening passengers through security lanes using walk-through metal detectors and body scanners
- Operating X-ray screening machines for hand baggage and identifying prohibited items
- Conducting physical searches of passengers and baggage in line with DfT Standard Measures
- Checking boarding cards and ID at security entry points
- Screening hold baggage using EDS or X-ray equipment on the baggage handling system
- Responding to alarms and anomalies calmly and following correct resolution procedures
- Completing required shift assessments and maintaining screening competency standards
