Airline Customer Service Agent

Key Duties

  • Assisting passengers across all touchpoints — check-in, gates, arrivals, and disruption desks
  • Managing gate boarding processes including boarding card checks and announcements
  • Handling irregular operations (IROPS) including rebooking, hotel vouchers, and meal coupons during disruption
  • Assisting passengers requiring special assistance including wheelchair users and unaccompanied minors
  • Responding to passenger complaints and escalations at the airport calmly and professionally
  • Processing flight close-out and final passenger tallies in the DCS
  • Communicating flight status updates clearly to waiting passengers

Typical Qualifications & Requirements

  • Airside pass and background vetting (5-year history, Criminal Record Check)
  • Previous airline, travel, or high-volume customer service experience
  • DCS experience — Amadeus Altéa or similar preferred
  • Languages in addition to English are a strong advantage on international routes
  • Confident, calm demeanour during disruption and high-pressure situations
